Leadership & Service

Saint John's Catholic Prep partners with both domestic and international organizations to provide service locally and globally. SJCP participates in 4 different projects through the year to promote advocacy, provide hunger relief, and help the poor.


Domestic & International Partners


SJCP partners with Seed of Life, Heartly House, the Knights of Columbus, the Frederick Rescue Mission, and SHIP of Frederick County.


SJCP is a part of the Catholic Relief Services Global High School Program and is a Gold scholar school.

The Haitian Sensation Club  brings awareness to the poverty in Haiti and holds donation drives to raise funds to help the people of Haiti.

Campus Ministry Team and Club

Students who serve on the Campus Ministry Team are servant leaders on campus. They facilitate the Freshman Retreat, organize service projects for the year, serve at monthly Mass, answer questions about faith, and encourage other students. They are the heart and soul of faith and service on campus.

Liturgical Ministers for Mass

The Liturgical Ministers for Mass are altar servers, lectors, gift bearers, ushers, Eucharistic ministers and leaders who help to serve at each monthly Mass.

Liturgy Band

The Worship band is made up of musicians from the school who lead worship at school liturgies. Playing a mix of contemporary Christian music and traditional hymns, the band includes guitars, drums, keyboards and beautiful vocals all aimed at leading the congregation in worship at mass.

Stand for the Silent Club

The Stand for the Silent Club is dedicated to ending bullying. They commit to speak for the silent who are bullied and help raise awareness and tolerance for all students.
