Our Campaign to Finish the School

“….but I have promises to keep.”  Robert Frost

When the decision was made to move Catholic Prep from Prospect Hall to our new campus, our Trustees, alumni, and parents made a promise to our students that we would finish our school by constructing contemporary athletic fields as well as a final school addition. For many good reasons, that promise has been delayed….but no longer.

Thanks to securing critical funding from Columbia Bank, we are well on our way to keeping that promise.

However, the loan financing will not be sufficient to complete our fields or the school addition. So, we have now begun a campaign to raise the funds that will finish the school. To remind ourselves, we are calling this The Promises Campaign.

Already, our Trustees and several others have made several significant donations to launch the campaign.

The Promises Campaign is focused on the following goals:

Stadium:  The stadium will be the home field for our football, soccer, and lacrosse programs. Artificial turf, seating for 800 and lights will make this a signature venue for these programs. To complete the stadium, we need to raise $750,000.

Baseball and Softball Fields:  We will construct state-of-the-art fields with spectator seating, dugouts, and scoreboards. We need to raise $1,000,000.

Track:  Our track and field teams involve the most students. We need a home track. To begin construction, we have set a goal of $250,000.

Chapel:  We will repurpose an area to create a Chapel that will accommodate 40 students. We plan to name the Chapel in honor of St. Theresa of Calcutta. We have set a goal of $100,000.

Endowed Scholarships:  To help future students and families we are building an endowed scholarship program. We are seeking $300,000 for various levels of scholarships.

To encourage all levels of involvement, we are selling paving bricks with the name of the donor. These bricks will be used at the entrances to the stadium and other fields.  The cost is a modest $500 for a permanent naming opportunity.

Over the next few months, you will see more specific information about the campaign.

All of us have many worthy obligations, the first being to our families. While respecting these obligations, I hope you will join us in this campaign to finish our school. We owe it to our children.
