School has now been back in session for over a month since the Christmas break although, with all of the delays and cancellations, it’s been hard to get back into a routine. After a mild winter last year, I guess payback was to be expected and according to Punxsutawney Phil, who did see his shadow earlier this month, winter won’t be ending anytime soon.
This is a very busy time of year for school events and when it comes to the weather, many of us hold our breaths that everything will occur as planned. I was very happy to have the weather cooperate in mid-January so we could bring all 100+ applicants through for interviews to join next year’s freshman class. Notifications are mailed home on February 15th and we are all anxiously awaiting the opportunity to welcome our Class of 2022.
As we move closer to the end of the 2017-2018 school year, I want to remind current families that re-enrollment for the 2018-2019 school year is just around the corner. This along with financial aid and scholarship information will be mailed home in early March. A reminder that need-based financial aid must be reapplied for each school year and merit-based scholarship renewals will be included in the re-enrollment packets being sent home.
I hope everyone stays warm and safe this winter season,Michael W. Schultz ‘00 Executive Director of Advancement
