“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” - A.A. Milne
I’ve had the honor of calling the Saint John’s Catholic Prep school community my home for the past 14+ years. By the time you read this, my last day will have already come and gone. As I look back on my time at the school, I am so blessed to have met each and every one of you. So much has happened in my life during this time, including getting married, starting a family, and buying our first home. While some of you I’ve just met, many others have been a part of my life for most of this journey and all of you I consider friends.
In the world of the advancement office, things are very cyclical. The events and the processes mostly stay the same but the names and the faces change and that was always my favorite part; meeting people, establishing relationships, and creating opportunities for others.
As a graduate of Saint John’s, I’ve always had a vested interest in the school. I am so thankful for what this institution did for me, it’s a part of who I am and it’s played a key role in allowing me to be where I am today. I have always seen this as a blessing to have had the chance to work for a place that was so instrumental in my life. I’ve never looked at this as a job but rather as a vocation, a calling to serve.
I believe we are all better because of the people we have in our lives. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all for making me a better person.
With sincere thanks,
