On October 20, Saint John's sophomores went on their annual retreat and explored the theme of this school year, the Heroic Minute. Discussions included how students can decide how to make it through tough times or difficult decisions; how not to be apathetic, and how to positively act when needed. Specifically, students were asked to identify what makes different men and women heroes. Ms. Richards also shared about Esther and Peter, who both stepped out in faith and how we are here for such a time as this, that we each have a calling and purpose. The students and faculty talked a lot about growing closer together and the special friendship the sophomore class has as a whole. And, of course, the class enjoyed different icebreaker games, singing, and spending time outside!
