SJCP Begins Catholic Schools Week with Mass

Catholic Prep kicked off Catholic Schools Week on Monday, January 29 with a mass led by the faculty and staff. After mass, the students enjoyed a video prepared by our Campus Ministry Team and Technology teacher, Mr. Frace. To finish off the morning, students receiving scholarships from the Friends of Catholic Education were recognized. It was the perfect start to the week!

Due to the unfortunate two-hour delay on Tuesday, the sophomore field trip to Catholic University (CUA) and the Basilica in DC was canceled. Our Director of Campus Ministry, Mrs. Becca Dickerson, had planned a wonderful field trip to CUA and the Basilica, with an opportunity for students and chaperones to celebrate mass in the crypt at the Basilica. With the cancellation, we still wanted to do something special for the 10th graders, so the entire class was treated to lunch at Cici’s Pizza at Westview. The trip to CUA and the Basilica will be rescheduled. Thanks to chaperones Mrs. Seaman, Mrs. Dickerson, Mrs. Gaynor and Mr. Feldman!
