Serving Our Community with School Supply Drive

Saint John’s continued its long history of outreach to the community by asking our families and staff to participate in a Back to School Supply Drive to benefit the Frederick Rescue Mission. As always, our Catholic Prep community was very generous providing notebooks, folders, writing utensils and backpacks for needy families in Frederick.

On Tuesday, September 5th, Mr. Marc Minsker and Ms. Maggie Ballantyne delivered the supplies to the Frederick Rescue Mission Development Director, Mike Greenberg, and their Outreach Coordinator, Teri Kwiatek. They will distribute these supplies to the FCPS students who do not have the supplies they need to start the school year.

Being living examples of our 5 Pillars and teaching the students the value and meaning of those Pillars is our daily goal. This Back to School Supply Drive was a perfect example of SERVICE to the less fortunate in our community. Throughout the year there will be many opportunities like this to reach out and make a difference in the community.

We are forever grateful to our generous families and staff for their donations!
