Haitian Sensation Club Helping Those in Need

The Haitian Sensation club would like to thank the SJCP community for donating toys in December. 58 dolls and 162 small cars were collected. A team from Saint Ignatius in Ijamsville is headed to Villard Haiti on February 14th where the toys will be personally delivered to needy children. The children in Villard do not have store bought toys and often make toys from the trash they find on the street. From years of bringing toys, we discovered that dolls with synthetic hair and matchbox type cars are their favorites! Freshman Catherine Buyalos will travel to Haiti next week and she is looking forward to sharing pictures when she returns.

The Haitian Sensation Club also sold Christmas Ornaments at Chartreuse over the holidays and made $237. That money was sent to Villard where it provided 408 meals for needy school children. The club is currently working hard on Valentine's Day Candy Grams which will take place the week of Valentine's Day. The Haitian Sensation club would like to thank you for all of your generous support!
