Class of 2022 Commencement Ceremony

Saint John's Catholic Prep held its 189th Commencement for the graduating Class of 2022 on May 26, 2022, on the Buckeystown campus. The ceremony opened with a prayer from Megan Adams and the singing of the national anthem led by Katherine Hollenbeck. Head of School, Will Knotek welcomed friends and family, introduced the platform party, and awarded Mrs. Judy Ballenger, Publications and Journalism teacher, the Most Inspirational Faculty Member of 2022, and Mr. Joseph Jancuk a special award for his service to Saint Joseph Catholic Prep. Students Daniel Manfred Stassen and Inez Dulcemaria Ortiz were awarded the McElroy Award for exemplifying the pillars of our school. Valedictorian Laura Madeline Neumark addressed the audience and her fellow classmates before the awarding of the diplomas to the 75 graduates. Will Knotek gave the valediction and sent the Class of 2022 off with the message "be sure to trust in God and trust in yourself, and that will make all the difference." Rev. Michael McDermott, Chaplain of SJCP, closed the ceremony with the benediction. Congratulations and best wishes to all our graduates!
