Catholic Schools Week at SJCP

In preparation for Catholic Schools Week at SJCP, Arnold Farlow, Executive Director of the Frederick Rescue Mission visited and spoke to the students about the organization and its mission as a Christ-centered ministry providing residential recovery programs to those experiencing homelessness or chemical addiction, food to the hungry, clothing and furniture to those in need, and connection within our community through relationships.

On Monday, the students kicked off Catholic Schools Week with a Day of Service, by making sandwiches and filling over 500 blessing bags and 300 lunches that will be distributed by the Frederick Rescue Mission to those in need in the Frederick Community.

On Tuesday we honored our students with a dress down day and free lunch.

On Wednesday we honored our Faculty and Staff for all of the phenomenal work they do. Our students wrote heartfelt notes on the Thank You Wall and our Faculty enjoyed a tasty catered lunch.

On Thursday we hosted over 100 parents for an “Evening of Gratitude” to honor them for the sacrifice they make to provide a Catholic Education for their child and celebrate all they do to make our school a wonderful place to learn and grow. A huge thank you for all the hard work of our Viking Parent Organization!⠀

On Friday we celebrate our Catholic faith with Mass for our whole community.
