Campus Ministry Vocations Week

SJCP Campus Ministry sponsored a Vocations Week for our students, beginning Monday, April 16, 2018. Fr. Rafael, a Franciscan Capuchin priest from Philadelphia, spoke to students about hearing God’s call and the uniqueness of everyone’s vocation. He talked about how he was called to be a priest and what it’s like to live in community with his fellow friars. He talked about St. Francis and the charism of the Franciscans.

In D Period theology classes, Br. Brendan and Br. Hyacinth, Dominican brothers from Dominican House of Studies in D.C., gave a short presentation on how they were both called to enter religious life. They talked about education and calling and listening to God’s voice. They answered questions about daily life in the friary and about silence, prayer, wearing a habit, etc.

Thank you to our guests for sharing their vocations with our students.
