Saint John's held the 2nd Annual Hop, Run, or Walk to benefit the Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund on October 21, 2017, at Stillpoint Farm - Milkhouse Brewery. There were 75 runners/walkers and another 50 spectators. This day would not have been possible without the generosity of community partners and our volunteers. It was also a great way for the community to come together and remember Christine Morgan.
We would like to thank Milkhouse Brewery for hosting this great event for a worthy cause and for Hemp's Meat for donating the brisket to feed our runners and spectators. Thank you to Robin Rose for coming out to our event to speak to our runners/walkers about the importance of raising funds for this local and impactful fund. Since 1999, the Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund has raised over $1.5 million for breast cancer research. We would like to thank ALL of our volunteers for helping make this day so successful especially Tom Barse, Abby Casarella, John Laughlin, Pat Lowe, Dr. Cotton, Dr. Smith, Steve Levine, Wednesday Cotton, and the SJCP Administration. We would also like to thank Coaches Beth Ann and Billy McRoberts and their cross country team for mapping the course, serving as course marshals, and going above and beyond to ensure this day ran smoothly!
