Administration
Director of Marketing
Saint John’s Catholic Prep, Maryland’s oldest Catholic High School founded in 1829, is growing. We are seeking a full-time Director of Marketing. This position will be responsible for supporting and promoting the school’s mission, vision and values while leading initiatives to enhance the visibility and public perception of Saint John’s Catholic Prep. This position will assist in the development and implementation of a marketing plan that supports all areas of the school, including but not limited to admissions, development, academics, athletics, and fine arts. This position will work with the Head of School to define the messaging and branding of the school.
Position Responsibilities:
Marketing
- Develop and implement an annual marketing plan
- Create and place all advertisements (print, radio, tv, online ads)
- Manage all school social media platforms
- Manage our online presence, image, and reviews on listings and sites dedicated to area high schools, such as Google, Yelp, Niche.
- Assist Website and Database Administrator with overseeing website, both layout and content
- Assist Website and Database Administrator with Viking Voice newsletter
- Oversee photography for all major school events and functions
- Work with local media on press releases
- Manage school’s relationships with outside vendors such as marketing and printing firms.
Experience:
The ideal candidate should have two or more years of marketing and communications experience. The following experience/skills are preferred:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with a website and social media content management system
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Capability of balancing multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong editing skills.
- Experience in an independent, Catholic school setting.

Saint John’s Catholic Prep is seeking a passionate and dedicated STEM Teacher to lead aviation-focused STEM courses using the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) STEM Curriculum. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students through hands-on learning experiences, project-based instruction, and innovative teaching strategies that promote careers in aviation, aerospace, and related STEM fields.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach AOPA’s high school aviation STEM curriculum, incorporating real-world applications and hands-on projects.
- Develop lesson plans aligned with AOPA guidelines.
- Integrate technology and industry trends into instruction, including flight simulators and drone technology.
- Collaborate with school staff, industry professionals, and community partners to enhance learning experiences.
- Participate in professional development and stay updated on advancements in aviation and STEM education.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in education, STEM-related field, Aviation, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- Experience teaching STEM subjects, engineering, or aviation-related coursework preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aviation principles and AOPA curriculum (training on curriculum can be provided).

Baseball Head Coach
Baseball Head Coach
Saint John’s Catholic Prep is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Boys Baseball coach for the 2025-2026 academic year. Spring sports take place between Mid-February and Mid-May, this includes Pre-season and in-season. SJCP plays in the MIAA B Conference in baseball. Coaches need to be available between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm each day 5 days a week. Game times are generally between 4:00 and 7:00 pm.
Essential Responsibilities:
Before the Season
- Works with the Athletic Director to ensure all positions have been staffed within the Baseball program
- Works with the Athletic Department to ensure that schedules are accurate and appropriately scheduled
- Organizes a pre-season meeting with the complete Baseball staff, players and families.
During Season
- Ensures equipment and facilities are used appropriately
- Organizes and supervises players during athletic practices, including riding the bus to away games.
- Plans practice sessions prior to practice with the idea of player development and inclusion for all levels.
- Attends All Athletic Department and League scheduled meetings when applicable.
End of Season
- Collects all school equipment/uniforms from the team.
- Offer off-season workouts, including but not limited to, strength and conditioning for players. Ensuring that the offerings are scheduled around other in-season sports.
- Assist with the recruitment process of our student-athletes.
Year round
- Recruits players both from the middle school level (incoming 9th grade) and transfer students (10th-12th grade) in conjunction with the Director of Enrollment
- Markets baseball program to the area while building relationships with youth programs, travel teams and community groups
- Communicates with the program families, players, athletic department and school
- Keeps up a social media presence all year
- Continues to educate themselves and staff about the game
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of successful high school coaching and/or college coaching experience is preferred. Head coaching experience is strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required/passing fingerprinting/background check
- Experience in developing Baseball players

The chosen candidate will teach techniques and skills while providing mentorship to build a sense of comradery within the SJCP community. Saint John’s Catholic Prep participates in the IAAM C Conference (Girls) and MIAA C Conference (Boys) for Cross Country.
Essential Responsibilities:
Before the Season
- Works with the Athletic Director to ensure all positions have been staffed within the program
- Works with the Athletic Department to ensure that schedules are accurate and appropriately scheduled
- Organizes a pre-season meeting with the complete staff, players and families.
During Season
- Ensures equipment and facilities are used appropriately
- Organizes and supervises athletes during athletic practices, including riding the bus to away events.
- Plans practice sessions prior to practice with the idea of player development and inclusion for all levels.
- Attends All Athletic Department and League scheduled meetings when applicable.
End of Season
- Collects all school equipment/uniforms from the team.
- Offer off-season workouts, including but not limited to, strength and conditioning for players. Ensuring that the offerings are scheduled around other in-season sports.
- Assist with the recruitment process of our student-athletes.
Year round
- Recruits players both from the middle school level (incoming 9th grade) and transfer students (10th-12th grade) in conjunction with the Director of Enrollment
- Markets the cross country program to the area while building relationships with youth programs, travel teams and community groups
- Communicates with the program families, players, athletic department and school
- Keeps up a social media presence all year
- Continues to educate themselves and staff about the game
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of successful high school coaching and/or college coaching experience is preferred. Head coaching experience is strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required/passing fingerprinting/background check
- Experience in developing volleyball players
