ART TEACHER

Educating in a joyful Catholic community of faith, hope and love, Saint John's Catholic Preparatory school prepares students to be leaders with good hearts and discerning spirits as they pursue truth, academic excellence and service to humanity.

Saint John's Catholic Preparatory is the first Catholic high school founded in the state of Maryland in 1829, a co-educational school, grades 9-12, located outside of Frederick, Maryland.

We are looking for an art educator to join a skilled and dedicated faculty at our prestigious Catholic high school. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in the specific discipline or a related field, with a graduate degree preferred. Relevant teaching experience is also preferred.

Saint John's prides itself on cultivating a dynamic faculty who seek – through engagement, dialogue, and professional development – to improve the academic dialogue and dimensions of the school community. Teachers at Saint John's are considered mentors who model scholarship, sincerity, and spirituality.

Classes for the upcoming year include: Art 1, Art2, Art3, A/P Studio Art, Introduction to Architecture, Graphic Arts and Photography.

This position has led the National Art Honor Society in the past.
