Administration
Director of Development
The Director of Development is a key leadership position responsible for designing, managing, and executing a comprehensive fundraising and donor engagement strategy that supports the mission and strategic goals of Saint John’s Catholic Prep. Reporting directly to the Head of School, the Director of Development will lead all advancement initiatives, including annual giving, major gifts, special events, alumni relations, and stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising & Donor Relations
- Meet and exceed annual fund goals through strategic planning, donor cultivation, and stewardship.
- Lead all fundraising efforts across the school, including support for athletics, student clubs, and special initiatives.
- Solicit and secure gifts for the school’s upcoming campus plan and future capital needs.
- Conduct ongoing donor research and maintain accurate donor and giving records.
- Collaborate with the CFO to manage and grow the school’s Endowment Fund.
- Establish and launch a Planned Giving Program and Campaign.
- Steward existing donors while cultivating new individual, corporate, and foundation relationships.
- Prepare and submit grant proposals and manage reporting requirements, staying abreast of foundation cycles and priorities.
Events & Campaigns
- Oversee and lead all aspects of the school’s signature fundraising events, including:
- The Annual Soirée
- The Annual Golf Tournament (sponsorships, attendee engagement, and activities)
- Athletic Banner Program
- Donor Receptions, Grandparents Day, Founder’s Day, and the Christmas Cash Raffle
- Plan and execute donor and alumni engagement events, including reunions and networking opportunities.
- Lead the planning and production of the school’s Annual Report and related donor communications materials.
Community Engagement & Volunteer Oversight
- Oversee the Viking Parent Organization (VPO), supporting its leadership and ensuring successful planning and execution of all events and initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance alumni and parent engagement and increase philanthropic participation.
- Facilitates the Board’s Advancement Committee, attending and helping coordinate meetings to support strategic development goals.
Leadership, Supervision & Reporting
- Lead the overall advancement strategy, encompassing the annual fund, major gifts, planned giving, and capital campaigns.
- Supervise and oversee the Website and Database Administrator, ensuring accurate, timely, and effective communication tools and donor data management.
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to the Head of School and Board of Trustees.
- Attends weekly leadership meetings and quarterly Board of Trustee meetings.
Qualifications:
- Five or more years of a proven track record in fundraising, donor relations, and campaign management, ideally in an independent, Catholic educational or non-profit setting
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing events, volunteers, staff, and development communications.
- Exceptional written and verbal skills
- Grant Writing certification or experience
- Strong working knowledge with donor databases management systems (Raiser’s Edge NXT preferred), and fundraising software knowledge (Givesmart preferred)
Compensation:
75k – 80k annually

Substitute Teacher
Substitute Teacher
Saint John’s Catholic Prep is searching for caring professionals to serve as substitute teachers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assumes all duties and responsibilities of the regular teacher in a given day
- Follows lesson plans provided by classroom teacher to facilitate appropriate learning experiences for students
- Maintains appropriate records in the absence of the teacher
- Supervises students in a variety of school-related settings
- Ensures all materials are read and prepared for instruction
- Monitors student outcomes
- Maintains appropriate records in the absence of the teacher and follows required procedures and practices
- Monitors appropriate use and care of equipment, materials and facilities
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators as needed

Qualifications:

Theology Teacher
High School Theology Teacher – full-time
Saint John’s Catholic Prep is soliciting resumes for a potential opening in the discipline of Theology for the 2nd Semester of this academic year (mid-January ‘26.)
Saint John’s Catholic Prep is searching for caring, career-minded education professionals with experience living and teaching Catholic doctrine to serve as part of our Theology department. The position would cover 4 sections of 11th-grade Theology and 1 section of Introduction to Personal Finance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan for and teach a full course load: 5 classes and 1 enrichment class per day
- Encourage, monitor, and promote student engagement through a positive learning environment
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators
- Identify and/or develop resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds and learning styles
- Incorporate various forms of technology within lessons
- Monitor and evaluate student outcomes
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Theater Director - Part-time
Saint John’s Catholic Prep seeks a part-time Theater Director to lead our high school theater program. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, enthusiasm, and experience in directing student performances. This individual will oversee one major production in the spring semester, guiding students through every stage of the process—from auditions to performance—while cultivating a supportive and faith-filled environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Direct and produce one annual theater production each spring.
- Plan and lead auditions, rehearsals, and performances.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, parent volunteers, and student leaders to support the production.
- Supervise all aspects of the show, including set design, lighting, costuming, and stage management.
- Work closely with the Fine Arts Department and school leadership to enhance the overall arts experience.
- Encourage student participation and growth, both onstage and behind the scenes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Theater, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field.
- Experience directing high school or community theater productions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A passion for mentoring students and fostering creativity.
Schedule and Compensation
This is a part-time position, focused primarily during the spring semester. Afternoon/evening hours during the week will be required during the rehearsal and performance period. Compensation is a $3,000 stipend to be paid at the conclusion of the production.

Certified Athletic Trainer
Certified Athletic Trainer (High School)
In preparation for the 2025-2026 school year, Saint John’s Catholic Prep’s is searching for a Certified Athletic Trainer to support our variety of high school sports.
This is a support position to our current Athletic Trainer, and serves 17 sports over 3 seasons.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend practices and games for all sports
- Utilize best practices for student-athletes, regarding injury assessment, taping, game day routines, etc.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators
- Identify and/or develop resources to meet the needs of students
Fall Season

- Avg workday - M thru F: 2:00pm to 6:30pm and 5 Friday Night Home Football games starting at 6pm

Track & Field Head Coach
Track & Field Head Coach
Saint John’s Catholic Prep has an exciting position available for a qualified and enthusiastic Track & Field Head Coach for the 2025-2026 school year. The chosen candidate will teach techniques and skills while providing mentorship to build a sense of comradery within the SJCP community. Saint John’s Catholic Prep participates in the IAAM B Conference (Girls) and MIAA B Conference (Boys) for Track and Field.
Essential Responsibilities:
Before the Season
- Works with the Athletic Director to ensure all positions have been staffed within the program
- Works with the Athletic Department to ensure that schedules are accurate and appropriately scheduled
- Organizes a pre-season meeting with the complete staff, players and families.
During Season
- Ensures equipment and facilities are used appropriately
- Organizes and supervises athletes during athletic practices, including riding the bus to away events.
- Plans practice sessions prior to practice with the idea of player development and inclusion for all levels.
- Attends All Athletic Department and League scheduled meetings when applicable.
End of Season
- Collects all school equipment/uniforms from the team.
- Offer off-season workouts, including but not limited to, strength and conditioning for players. Ensuring that the offerings are scheduled around other in-season sports.
- Assist with the recruitment process of our student-athletes.
Year round
- Recruits players both from the middle school level (incoming 9th grade) and transfer students (10th-12th grade) in conjunction with the Director of Enrollment
- Markets the Track and Field program to the area while building relationships with youth programs, travel teams and community groups
- Communicates with the program families, players, athletic department and school
- Keeps up a social media presence all year
- Continues to educate themselves and staff about the game
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of successful high school coaching and/or college coaching experience is preferred. Head coaching experience is strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required/passing fingerprinting/background check
- Experience in developing volleyball players
