Saint John's Catholic Prep -- Your premier private high school located in Frederick, Maryland!

Founded in 1829, Saint John’s Catholic Prep has the distinction of being Maryland's oldest Catholic high school. Located on 66 acres in Frederick County, Saint John’s Catholic Prep educates students in a joyful Catholic community and prepares them to be leaders with good hearts and discerning spirits. 

SJCP offers a rigorous college preparatory program, dual enrollment with Mount St. Mary’s University, and guaranteed admission and scholarship programs with partner colleges/universities. 

SJCP has 20 athletic teams that compete in the IAAM and MIAA and more than 25 student-run clubs and activities. Our newest facilities are the Warner Stadium with a turf field and the 9,000-square-foot Delaplaine Fine Arts Wing. Whether on the field or in the classroom, our sense of community sets us apart.
