Dear Family and Friends of SJCP,
I hope this letter finds you happy and healthy in the New Year. As a member of the Saint John’s Catholic Prep Class of 2012, I could not be more excited to rejoin the SJCP family as a newly appointed member of the school’s Advancement team. In this role, I am fortunate enough to see how the generosity of our community continues to grow each year.
At the beginning of the 2016-2017 fiscal year, our community was challenged to take part in the Saint John’s Catholic Prep Annual Fund. THANK YOU to everyone who has accepted this challenge and taken the time to make a donation. We are over half way to reaching our $150,000 goal. As a friendly reminder, there is still time to make a donation as our campaign runs until June 30, 2017. Donations can be made in the form of one-time gifts, monthly installments, payroll deductions, and corporate matching gifts.
Since my graduation in 2012 from the Prospect Hall Mansion on Butterfly Lane, SJCP has changed with a new facility and new faces. However, the heart of SJCP still remains in our five pillars: Faith, Leadership, Scholarship, Honor, and Service all demonstrated by the faculty, staff, and students. Thanks to the generosity of our community, Saint John’s has been able to remain true to its values and mission statement while continuing to grow and develop for the benefit of its students. In order for continual growth and financial stability, we need to meet our Annual Fund goal to cover all costs for each child’s education.
When making my gift to Saint John’s, I could not help but think back on some of my favorite memories from my time in high school: editing the yearbook in Publications class; fundraising with the Vikings for Hope group on campus; cheering on our boys’ basketball team with the McSherry Maniacs as they won the championship; or enjoying a final weekend with my class on Senior Retreat. Whether you are a parent or an alumnus, a faculty or a board member, I encourage all of you to think about what qualities or memories from Saint John’s hold a place in your heart. Please give in honor of those memories so that our current and future students have even greater opportunities to learn and make their own memories that are just as special.
I look forward to getting to know everyone in the growing SJCP family and thank you in advance for your generosity.
