Liturgy Band: Liturgy band will be practicing next Wednesday, March 29th for mass on April 3rd.
Red Cross Blood Drive: The Red Cross will be here next Wednesday for our rescheduled Spring Blood Drive. If you signed up already, your appointment stands. There is still time to give the gift of Life. Sign up during lunch today through Tuesday. An hour of your time, a pint of your blood can save up to 3 lives.
Juniors: As Junior Ring Day approaches, it is time to pay for the balance on your rings ordered from Balfour. Please check with Mrs. Petrie to see what your balance may be and bring it in before Wednesday, April 5 which is Junior Ring Day. If you are bringing in a ring, you may bring it in anytime between now and April 5.
All Juniors participate in Junior Ring Day breakfast and the ring ceremony here at school. Your parents/guardians were emailed about the details last week. Please see Mrs. Stewart with any questions about dress, ceremony etc.
An email went out from the junior class moderators to parents of juniors about Ring Day and Prom. Please note the date for Prom is April 28th
New York City Trip Signups: This trip is now open to all students starting today. If you are interested in going on the New York trip, bring your $ 65 and sign up in the main office. We have 20 remaining spots available on a first come first serve basis starting tomorrow. Please see Mr. Van with any questions.

There are a number of new community service opportunities on the board outside Mrs. Splaine’s room. Check them out. The contact info is in the folder to the right.
2 for 1 Service Hour Opportunity! The Soiree Team needs your help! Today after school we need volunteers to help set up for the soiree. Any student willing to volunteer can stay from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and earn 6 hours instead of 3. We will also need help with take down of the soiree on Sunday, March 26. If you are interested in earning an additional 6 hours, please report to the gym at 10 am and stay until 1:00 pm.

School mass in the chapel: Mass will now be said on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:00pm. Please join us. All are welcome.

The Fordham Lee Poffenbarger Scholarship program has announced its scholarship competition for the Class of 2017. The deadline to apply is April 3. For more info: see the College Corner on the SJCP website for the website.
Medications at school: If your student needs to take any medications at school from a cough drop to Epipens for allergies or asthma inhalers, you will need to have your doctor fill out the HealthLink medication at school form each school year and the asthma action plan, diabetes protocol or allergic reaction plan if your student is diabetic or needs to carry an inhaler or Epipen at school. All medications must be left in the main office (exceptions are Epipens and inhaler) and cannot be administered without proper documentation. Each medication must have a separate form. Your child's doctor must sign off on your student carrying an inhaler or Epipen and a separate action plan must accompany each order. Please contact Mrs. Petrie with any questions. The forms are available from the school website, www.saintjohnsprep.org, click on the Parents tab, click on Forms/Policies and then General Forms and Policies.
Softball Fundraiser: We are having a softball fundraiser at Chipotle at 5223 Buckeystown Pike in Frederick, MD Monday night, March 27 from 5:30pm to 9:00pm. Chipotle will give us 50% of all profit sold during that time. Bring your friends and family out to support the softball team and get great food at the same time! See you there!

Girls Varsity Lacrosse Lost 11-16 against Friends School of Baltimore. We were back and forth within one or two goals for most of the game. Mia Crow and Paige Kamer had a great defensive game!
Baseball Won 16-2 against Concordia Prep: Zach Barberich, Alex Morgan and Reagan Mills each collected multiple hits for a total of 12! Zach Barberich led with 3 hits and 4 at bats, including a home run.
