Congratulations to the class of 2017!
Reminder today is a 12noon dismissal with no lunch being served. Senior Graduation Mass is at Saint John the Evangelist church on E Second Street in Frederick followed by the Senior Recognition dinner at Dutch’s Daughter at 5pm for graduates and their parents. Graduation ceremonies will be on Thursday, May 25 at 3pm here on campus.
Underclass exams begin next week: You must be on time and in full uniform to take your exams. You must take the exam during your regular class appointed time. Any student who misses an exam must return during the makeup period to complete that exam. If you do not have an exam during any given period, you do not need to be on campus that day. No lunch is served on exam days (the cafeteria will be open for snacks) and exams are over at 12noon.You will need to turn in any textbooks supplied by the school in order to sit for your exam. If you have lost or damaged textbooks, please see Mrs. Petrie for replacement cost.
Thursday, June 1 – A period at 8:30am and B period at 10:30am
Friday, June 2 – C period at 8:30am and D period at 10:30am
Monday, June 5 – E period at 8:30am and F period at 10:30am
Tuesday, June 6 – G period at 8:30am and make ups at 10:30am.
Gently Used Uniform drop off and sale: You can pick up an inventory sheet from the Main Office to sell gently used uniform items in our sale that will be held on Saturday, June 10. We will sell green polos, khaki skirts and pants, quarter zip fleeces and blue school blazers. Any questions, see Mrs. Petrie. Make some money from those uniform items you have outgrown or no longer need then come to the sale and get gently used items that fit.
E-Z Book Buy back on campus: You may drop off your quote from MBS and the books they have agreed to buy back from you through June 6 in the Main Office. Any questions, see Mrs. Petrie or email her at LPetrie@saintjohnsprep.org

Need community service hours? There are 4 new community service opportunities on the bulletin board outside Mrs. Splaine’s room. Check them out.
School mass in the chapel: Mass will now be said on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:00pm. Please join us. All are welcome.

All students please check the College Corner on the SJCP website regularly to learn about college open houses, internships and programs for high school students.
Medications at school: If your student needs to take any medications at school from a cough drop to Epipens for allergies or asthma inhalers, you will need to have your doctor fill out the HealthLink medication at school form each school year and the asthma action plan, diabetes protocol or allergic reaction plan if your student is diabetic or needs to carry an inhaler or Epipen at school. All medications must be left in the main office (exceptions are Epipens and inhaler) and cannot be administered without proper documentation. Each medication must have a separate form. Your child's doctor must sign off on your student carrying an inhaler or Epipen and a separate action plan must accompany each order. Please contact Mrs. Petrie with any questions. Girls’ Soccer Interest meeting: There will be a soccer interest meeting for all girls and their parents on Tuesday, May 30 in the gym at 5:00pm.
Volleyball Interest Meeting: A volleyball interest meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 30th from 2:45-3:15pm in the Viking Café. See Ms. Kurtyka with any questions.
Chipotle Fundraiser to Benefit Saint John's Football: Come out and enjoy dinner at Chipotle Mexican Grill, Westview Promenade just up the road next Tuesday, May 30, 12noon - 9pm to benefit the Saint John's Football program. Don’t forget to tell them you are there to support SJCP football.
Dress down day to benefit the Girls basketball program: On Wednesday, May 31, students will be able to dress down in appropriate clothing (proper length shorts, dresses and skirts, no flip flops, that means modest dress, no earrings for young men, etc) for a $2.00 donation. See the handbook or Mr. Hayes for clarification.
