NHS Induction Ceremony - October 4, 2017
Posted 10/06/2017 01:28PM

The National Honor Society promotes recognition of students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, leadership, character and service. The Saint John's chapter of the NHS has been active for 58 years and has the longstanding tradition of inducting students who not only prove academic achievement and demonstrate service to the community, but exhibit a willingness to use their talents and skills to help others. The selection process begins every fall for juniors and seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher that are eligible for consideration. The Faculty Council reviews the attendance and discipline records, service hours, and student essays of each applicant and issues a final decision on membership. On Wednesday, October 4, 2017, NHS Advisor Rei Phillippi and senior NHS members welcomed 25 new members into the society. The Great Hall was packed with family and friends that attended to celebrate the impressive accomplishments of these young men and women.
