The SJCP Booster Club was formed in June 2010 to help supplement the current athletic budget through a variety of fundraisers and to also promote the SJCP athletic program. While we all eagerly anticipate the construction of the new school campus, it is clear the athletic department has needs that can be addressed now. The Booster Club has worked side by side with the SJCP administration and athletic department to meet as many of those needs as possible.
It has been a very successful first year for the SJCP Booster Club. A total of $11,100 was raised through the membership drive, concession sales, general donations, poker night, apparel sales, and the golf tournament. The golf tournament alone raised $6,000 that went to the general athletic fund for the school. The remaining $5,500 provided much needed items, which include the following: new volleyball net, boys’ and girls’ basketball tournament expenses, a mobile defibrillator, new cross country and track uniforms, new boys’ soccer uniforms, DVD tower, and gym bathroom repairs and painting. We were also blessed with a group of hard working grandparents and friends who donated and built a new concession stand for the campus. It has already been a great addition to the athletic events. The SJCP school community is extremely grateful for everyone who supported the Booster Club.
A school-wide Booster Club fundraising event is being planned for November - additional information will be announced soon. We will continue to provide updates that will outline our accomplishments and future plans. We appreciate any support you can provide. The “Viking Vault” Spirit Shop
The Spirit Shop will be open after school from 2:45 - 3:45PM on Mondays & Thursdays, at boys’ basketball home games, and at select girls’ basketball and volleyball home games during the school year. Visit the Spirit Shop to purchase many great Spirit Wear items and refreshments.
In addition, our new outdoor concessions stand will be open at most home games for all sports played on our school campus fields.
