Coach Lawrence E. Callahan Team Reunion
St. John’s High School Basketball Team 1960-1965

On Thursday, February 18, 2010 Saint John's Catholic Prep hosted the First Annual Coach Callahan Classic in honor of Larry Callahan who coached at Saint John's from 1959-1965.  Former players and managers for Coach Larry Callahan gathered in honor of the 50th Anniversary of his coaching debut at St. John’s High School (SJH). He had been named Coach of the Year for the Blue Ridge Conference in 1960 and his 1960 SJH Team had won the conference title. In addition to hosting the tournament, Saint John’s held a reception for Coach Callahan and his team players and managers. The highlight of the team reunion was the presentation of a certificate of appreciation, which stated, “In recognition of your valuable contributions, leadership, and tireless dedication as a role model and basketball coach 1959-1965” and Team Photo Binder.
