On Saturday, June 12, 2010 – Saint John’s Catholic Prep welcomed the Class of 1965 back to Campus for a picnic luncheon, fellowship, and a tour of Prospect Hall. The Class enjoyed each other’s fellowship and the opportunity to reminisce about their high school years spent at Saint John’s. They especially enjoyed being back in their Senior Garden, where their picnic luncheon was held. The Class collected over $1,890 and made a contribution to Saint John’s in the memory of Father LaPorta and Sister Teresa Marie, this was presented to Diane L. Favret, Executive Director for Institutional Advancement.  The Class Planning Committee of Jane McClellan, Norm Galvin and Rick Stup were responsible for planning a weekend of activities, which included a social on Friday night, the picnic on Saturday, and a breakfast on Sunday. Class of 1959 Celebrates 50th Reunion
The Class of 1959 held its first reunion on September 12, 2009 at Bob & Jeannie Hartman’s “Party Barn” near Thurmont, Maryland.  The reunion committee consisted of Bob Hartman, Nicky & Larry Warner, Phil Yost, Frank Stillrich, and Kathy Gouker.  It was a comfortable and relaxed setting as they were treated to great food, which included a cake decorated with pictures of the old school on E. Second Street and Prospect Hall.  The Class of 1959 was the first to graduate from Prospect Hall!

Kathy Clarke Gouker, with the help of her daughter Meg and sister Peg, put together a lovely memory booklet with a page for each classmate, which included a graduation picture and a recent one plus information about the past 50 years that they wanted to share.

Of the 22 students in the graduating class, 15 attended the reunion!  They actually found a classmate a few days before the reunion, courtesy of Facebook.

It was a perfect atmosphere to enjoy their time together, meet spouses, hear stories of children and grandchildren, support those who have lost loved ones, and just enjoy each other’s company.  There were a lot of laughs as they remembered their school days together.  Everyone had great fun looking at old pictures and letters that Mary Louise had kept all these years!  In addition to those mentioned, other class members present were: Robert Bailey, Mary Louise Chesley-Cora, Patsy Stull Crosby, Joanne Donavon Mazepink, Bill Offutt, Janice McCleaf Robbins, Kathleen Hartman Schrodel, Becky Wright, and Judy Simms Williams.  The class is already looking forward to future times together and hope that those who missed this reunion will join them for the 2010 all-class reunion planned for Saturday, June 12, 2010.
