Science

As a faculty of Science, we wish to allow our students:

• to gain an appreciation for the Sciences and to understand that the concepts   contained therein permeate every aspect of their lives
• to gain a firm understanding of the reasons for the Scientific Method and  its applications
• to develop basic laboratory techniques and skills
• to use the laboratory setting, not to confirm what has already been taught, but
  as an initial contact with concepts during which to develop questions.
• to enter college prepared for the rigors of the science courses which they will
  encounter
• to prepare the students for the technological society in which we live
