Physical Education
Physical Education
Physical Education is an integral part of a students’ total educational program. The Physical Education curriculum provides a carefully planned sequence of learning experiences in which human movement concentrates on the development of the individual’s maximum physical potential and their related social, emotional and intellectual growth.
Health Education
The Health Education program is an integrated part of the Physical Education course of study. Health Education provides students with an awareness of health standards for living, including body functions, and develops an awareness of contemporary problems that affect general health and well-being. Health Education is taught during the Freshmen and Sophomore Physical Education Courses. It is significant to note that instruction in health is not limited to the PE/Health program alone. The Science Department addresses biological and physiological aspects of health, while the Religion Department treats social, emotional and moral issues concerned with health.
