2010-2011 student schedules: You should have received your tentative schedule for this fall by email. Depending on your requests, a full or partial schedule was sent to you. Please look at your schedule, make sure all classes have a section number and none fall during the same period. Email Mr. Minsker at mminsker@saintjohnsprep.org with any problems you may have. Please contact Mr. Minsker as soon as possible to finalize or change your schedule.

Order your books: Our online bookstore is now open, http://bookstore.mbsdirect.net/saintjohnsprep.htm. Please check the listings as there have been changes. Please contact Linda Petrie with any questions at LPetrie@saintjohnsprep.org. Mrs. Petrie can also give you hints for shopping for the best prices if you are not using MBS. Also be sure to compare prices as MBS has guaranteed buy back prices on some of our textbooks which brings the "real" cost of purchasing some books way down. MBS also has free shipping on all orders over $100.

Summer reading: The Summer reading assignments are now on the school web page. Please read carefully as there are changes and there are more than just English assignments. Student schedules for next year will be emailed home early next week. After receiving your schedule, please contact Mr. Minsker to set up an appointment to discus changes.

Saint John’s Upperclassman Orientation Schedule

Students need to report to campus on time and in full uniform for their grade level orientation. Upon arriving on campus, students will report to the gym where they will be greeted by teachers and the administration. Students will receive a current copy of their schedule and proceed to A period classes.  All studentswill run through their entire schedule, meeting with each teacher for eight minutes.  During this abbreviated class, teachers will be providing each student with valuable information concerning course expectations, rules, books, and supplies.  At the end of each orientation session, all students proceed to the cafeteria to have their I.D. pictures taken.

10th Grade Orientation – report by 8am to the Gym
11th Grade Orientation – report by 9:30am to the Gym
12th Grade Orientation – report by 11:00 to the Gym

The first day of school is the following day, August 31st

The following student's families have Bingo duty this week, Saturday, July 31, 2010: Emily Nelson, Alexandra Nigida, Lauren O'Boyle, Christopher O'Brien, Daniel O'Connell, Zach O'Connor, Marykate O'Donoghue, Shannon O'Dowd, Robert Ordonio, and Chloe Ossias. Please plan to arrive at the Mc Sherry Gymnasium by 5:30 pm to help with the bingo. If your schedule does not allow you to attend on your scheduled Saturday, please switch dates with another parent. We thank you for your help and cooperation with this fund raising activity which directly benefits your children, SJCP and you. Please remember to email us if you have switched dates with another parent so we can email this reminder to the correct parent. Children under the age of 18 may not be on the bingo floor except if selling concessions.
